Purity in Practice: The Path to Organic Excellence - Organigram

Amidst the bustling aisles of supermarkets and the rising demand for healthier, eco-conscious options, there is a sense of purity about organic products within consumer minds, signifying their authenticity and wholesomeness. And it is for this reason we at Organigram make a great effort to ensure our process delivers pure organic products to the consumer. After all, we know that it is more than a label; it is a commitment to untainted, wholesome nourishment and a sustainable future.

We at Organigram know the way ahead is organic, and we are guided by a simple yet powerful commitment to be transparent, quality-driven, and sustainable. After all, what we consume in our diet today will have a profound impact not just on personal health but also on the environment.

And this is reflected by Indian consumers, who are willing to spend above the price of conventionally grown food products for organic foods. In fact, in a recent study by Rakuten Insight, 66% of Indian consumers were willing to do so. This makes it even more pertinent to earn the customer’s trust and ensure nothing is compromised – product or process – to erode that trust.

We do this by accomplishing our goal of nurturing the essence of nature and sourcing pure, nutrient-rich grains from farms that align with our commitment to sustainability. That is why we ensure

Quality Assurance

Our commitment to ensuring the authenticity of our organic products is exemplified through a rigorous testing process conducted at APEDA Labs, the certifying authority for exporting organic products. Through every procurement stage, we undergo a meticulous examination while incurring an expenditure of nearly Rs 11,000 for each batch tested. We see this as a testament to our unwavering dedication to transparency and providing our customers with the utmost confidence about our organic offerings.

Sustainable Sourcing

During our procurement process, we developed a relationship with two or three trusted farmers committed to organic farming practices like crop rotation, cover crops, composting and more. And to make sure we never break our customers’ trust, we go the extra mile by testing each batch and ensuring they receive nothing but the highest quality. Moreover, we exclusively utilise biodegradable packaging for our products. It is why we have taken the conscious decision to refrain from selling oils, as suitable biodegradable packaging for oils has yet to become widely available in the market.

Ethical and Transparent Practices

Well-informed choices lead to responsible consumption; this is something we know to be true. So, we empower our customers with the information necessary to make their decisions. It goes beyond mere labelling and ensures our customers can trace the exact origins of the products they enjoy. That is why all our products and packaging certificates are published on the websites for complete transparency. After all, ethical and transparent organic farming practices encompass and prioritise environmental stewardship, biodiversity, and consumer well-being. We support organic farmers, equipping them with sustainable farming methods that positively impact the consumer and the environment.

Wholesome Nutrition

We invest considerably to ensure our products are free from synthetic chemicals, pesticides, and genetically modified organisms (GMOs). Moreover, how it is produced must provide nutritional quality and overall well-being of soil health. This approach results in fruits, vegetables and grains that are richer in nutrients, antioxidants, and flavour. And, by extension, our customers get to enjoy nutrient-dense, naturally-grown products.

These processes are essential for us. It is not about business growth or following regulatory practices but building a community that relies on the quality and authenticity of what we offer.
